Alexander Ilyin, a forecaster at the Meteo forecasting center, explained the appearance of stripes in the sky over Moscow in the form of the Latin letter V.

In conversation with aif.ru On Monday, April 14, the specialist explained that the stripes represented a condensation trail from the operation of the engines in the inversion layer, where the temperature does not change, there is no vertical and horizontal movement of air.

"This satellite trail remains after the passage of aircraft for a long time, it does not collapse. Two planes flew in some perpendicular directions, and something similar (to the letter V) was formed. — Ed.)," said Ilyin.
