In the Stavropol Territory, a pedestrian was hit by a car, and a man died at the scene before an ambulance arrived. This was announced on April 13 by the press service of the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.
"The driver of the Lada Vesta car, moving from the city of Stavropol, hit a pedestrian who was on the roadway. <...> As a result of a car accident, a male pedestrian, a 30-year-old resident of the Shpakov district, died on the spot from his injuries," the press service said in a Telegram channel.
It was previously established that the incident occurred at 21:10 on the 298th km of the Rostov-on-Don–Stavropol highway. The 18-year-old hit-and-run driver got his driver's license four months ago. Additional circumstances of the accident are being established.
On the same day, it was reported that four people were injured in Novokuznetsk due to a collision of seven cars on the Kemerovo – Novokuznetsk highway. It was noted that one of the drivers of the foreign car did not take into account the smoke on the roadway, after which he collided with a Gazelle car, which led to subsequent collisions of other cars.
