Trump denied claims of tariff exemptions for Chinese suppliers

The US administration has not made any statements about the introduction of tariff exemptions for some Chinese suppliers. This was announced on April 13 by US President Donald Trump.
"No "exclusion" from tariffs was announced on Friday. These products are subject to the current fentanyl tariffs of 20%, and they simply move to another tariff basket. The fake media knows about this, but refuses to report it," Trump said in a message on the Truth Social network.
The American leader noted that "no one can get off the hook," and the imposition of duties is a mirror response to the actions of other states towards the United States. According to Trump, the White House administration is now conducting an investigation into the compliance of duties against the electronics supply chain with American national security interests.
In addition, the US president clarified that the state will begin to produce its own products in order not to be "hostages of other countries," in particular China.
"We also cannot allow them to continue abusing us in trade, as they have done for decades," Trump said.
Bloomberg reported on April 12 that the Trump administration had exempted smartphones, computers and other electronics from retaliatory duties, potentially mitigating the consequences for consumers. U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnik confirmed that the United States has temporarily excluded electronics imports from mirror duties.
