American leader Donald Trump does not deny the possibility of introducing a measure of exemptions from duties for some states, but not lower than the minimum 10%. This was reported by the Reuters news agency on April 11.

"Yes, of course, there may be a couple of exceptions, but I would say that 10% is the minimum level," Trump said during a conversation with reporters aboard the presidential plane.

The US president also said that the US dollar, despite the economic situation in the world, will remain the "main choice" in global trade.

In addition, Trump, speaking about the trade escalation with China, noted that this situation could bring "something positive."

On the same day, Chinese Foreign Minister Wai Yi said that the United States is acting recklessly and contributing to the destabilization of the international situation when it continues to impose new trade duties.

CNBC, citing the White House, reported on April 10 that Trump had increased duties on goods from China to 145%. U.S. Vice President Jay D. Vance said Trump wants peace, but also wants fair trade and "greater self-sufficiency for the American economy."
