- Starting from April 12, China will increase duties on goods from the United States to 125%

China will increase additional duties on goods from the United States by 41%, to 125%. This was reported on April 11 by the Bloomberg news agency with reference to the Ministry of Finance of the People's Republic of China.
"China will increase duties on all US goods from 84% to 125%," the article says.
It is noted that additional tariffs will be adjusted from April 12. The Chinese Ministry of Finance also clarified that Beijing will stop responding to further increases in duties by Washington.
On April 10, CNBC reported that US President Donald Trump had increased tariffs on goods from China to 145%. In turn, US Vice President Jay D. Vance said that Trump wants peace, but also wants fair trade and "greater self-sufficiency for the American economy."
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian, in turn, said there were no winners in the trade war on tariffs. He also noted that if the United States insists on unleashing a war with duties and a trade war, then China will go to the end.
