- The economist called the likely date for the rise in world prices due to Trump's duties

Global prices will rise as soon as exporters are convinced of the determination of US President Donald Trump. Professor Andrey Kolganov, head of the Laboratory for Comparative Research of Socio-economic Systems at the Faculty of Economics of Lomonosov Moscow State University, told about this on Thursday, April 10.
According to the expert, the impact of US duties on the global market will be immediate, but countries in a clash with the United States will have the opportunity to refocus on the Russian market. The expert noted that the US duties do not directly affect Russia, so the domestic market has a delay.
"But our market is not a rubber one. Naturally, we cannot buy all international trade, but nevertheless conditions will be more or less favorable for us in this sense," the economist said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .
Earlier in the day, Trump increased duties on goods from China to 145%, RT reports.
In turn, US Vice President Jay D. Vance said that Trump wants peace, but also wants fair trade and "greater self-sufficiency for the American economy."
Earlier on April 10, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said there were no winners in the trade war over tariffs. He also noted that if the United States insists on unleashing a war with duties and a trade war, then China will go to the end.
In turn, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow is closely monitoring the situation with the increase in duties by the United States and is carefully studying the possible consequences, according to the website. kp.ru .
On April 9, US President Donald Trump announced that the United States would immediately raise trade duties on China to 125%. On the same day, the Chinese authorities, in turn, decided to raise duties on imported goods from the United States to 84% as a mirror measure.
