Telephone fraudsters staged the abduction of an 11-year-old boy and demanded 3 million rubles from his parents as a ransom. This was announced on April 10 by the Moscow Prosecutor's Office.

The scammers called the boy and, posing as employees of Roskomnadzor, said that the parents were allegedly accomplices of criminals and it was necessary to follow telephone instructions, "otherwise the parents would be imprisoned and he would be sent to an orphanage."

"The frightened child, acting on the instructions of the intruders, searched the apartment, but found nothing. Then the callers told the boy to get into a taxi and allegedly drive to their employee," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

After that, the child got into a taxi and went to a woman whom the scammers introduced as a law enforcement officer. Later it turned out that the woman was also a victim of fraudsters and acted according to their instructions.

At the same time, the child's parents said that they had received calls from unknown people demanding a ransom, and they had also been sent photos of their son.

The boy was found in a woman's apartment on Matros Zheleznyak Street and handed over to police officers. His life and health are not in danger.

"Explain to the children that it is necessary to inform adults about all suspicious calls and requests received from strangers," the prosecutor's office urged.

On March 19, it became known about the kidnapping of a 15-year-old girl in Achinsk for ransom. Law enforcement agencies have opened a criminal case in accordance with paragraph "d" of Part 2 of Article 126 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Abduction of a person against a known minor").

The Directorate of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia reported that the girl left on the evening of March 18 in an unknown direction. After that, two hours later, the father received a video of his daughter, in which they demanded to transfer the amount to the specified account in the amount of 500 thousand rubles for her release. Later it became known that the girl who disappeared in Achinsk, according to preliminary data, independently took a taxi to the cemetery and recorded a video about her abduction. On March 19, it was reported that the girl had become a victim of fraud.

The girl's neighbors, in an interview with Izvestia, positively characterized her family.
