The authorities have developed 40 measures to support the construction industry

Up to 40 state support measures have been developed to support the construction industry; they will be submitted to the government and the president. This was told in an interview with "Izvestia" by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.
"We held a working group with all the governors, that is, the working group of the State Council, discussed all the issues and proposals, gathered the banking community, developers, listened to people's opinions, and prepared about 30-40 measures that we will propose to the government, the President, in order to support the housing construction market. After all, the largest investor in the country today is the population. And we must create such conditions so that the population can continue to invest their money to improve their housing conditions," he said.
Deputy Prime Minister added that according to the results of the past year, the past five years, 21 million families in Russia have improved their housing conditions.
"People buy a one-bedroom, change it for a two-bedroom, a two-bedroom - for a three-bedroom. That is, there is a process of improving housing conditions and it is great to support and influence demography, support economic development," he said.
According to him, in 2025 it is planned to keep the target of more than 100 million square meters of commissioned housing. In 2024, 107 million square meters were commissioned, which was comparable to 2023.
"At the end of three months, the volume of housing commissioned exceeds the level of 2024. This indicates that this year we are guaranteed to deliver more than 100 million square meters of housing," Khusnullin added.
