The FSB detained a Volnovakha resident who was storing explosives on behalf of the State Security Service of Ukraine

A resident of Volnovakha, Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), was detained on suspicion of illegally acquiring and storing explosives on behalf of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. This was reported on April 9 in the press service of the regional directorate of the FSB.

"It has been established that the detainee, on the instructions of the General Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, illegally acquired structural elements of an improvised explosive device, which he subsequently began to store in a garage for further use for terrorist purposes," the department said.

The investigative unit of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the DPR has opened a criminal case on this fact under articles "a" and "b" of Part 3 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Illegal acquisition, transfer, storage, transportation, transfer or carrying of explosives or explosive devices").

All of them were engaged in intelligence and subversive activities on the territory of Russia.

On April 4, the press service of the FSB for the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR) reported that a local resident was detained for collecting intelligence in the interests of the Ukrainian special services. So, a citizen transmitted information about the location of Rosgvardiya warehouses through an intermediary in order to strike at the positions of the Russian military. The attacker is charged under the article "Treason" (Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), investigative measures are continuing.
