NMG talked about the development of projects in Latin America and the Middle East

The National Media Group (NMG), Russia's largest media holding, is actively entering new markets, including Latin America and China, demonstrating high sales figures for films such as Invasion and Red Silk. This was announced on April 9 by the company's CEO Svetlana Balanova.
"Quite a lot is being sold. <...> We are primarily looking at the BRICS countries, Latin America, the Middle East, and China. We recently sold the film Invasion to China, and it will be shown on local central television," she said in an interview with RBC.
Balanova added that the joint Russian-Chinese detective film "Red Silk" will receive a distribution certificate in China. At the moment, questions about the date of its release on big screens, the distributor and potential sales on television are being resolved.
According to Balanova, joint projects are more effective because they allow avoiding foreign quotas, obtaining a certificate of national films and attracting viewers in both Russia and China. At the same time, NMG plans to develop cooperation with other countries.
"But we are considering joint production not only with China. We have several major projects in development," the CEO emphasized, adding that one of these projects is being developed in Latin America, and the other in the Middle East.
The Cinema Park and Formula Cinema cinema chain and NMG Kinoprokat (part of the National Media Group) have launched exclusive screenings of the Russian-Chinese detective action film Red Silk in the unique HFR 60 frames per second format since March 6. For comparison, regular screenings assume a frequency of 24 frames per second. Later, on March 10, it became known that the box office receipts of the film "Red Silk" broke records, exceeding 500 million rubles.
