Overchuk assessed the possibility of involving Georgia in Eurasia partnership


Georgia's independence and geographical position in Eurasia provide good opportunities for development. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk told Izvestia.
"Georgia is our closest southern neighbor. For many years we lived together, but then there were events that divided us. Today, Russian tourists are returning there, air communication has been resumed, visa regime has been simplified, representatives of the business community cooperate, trade is growing, and human ties are being restored. Georgia refused to participate in anti-Russian sanctions and, as we now know, did not sacrifice itself for the interests of others. Georgia's independence and geographical position in Eurasia provide good opportunities for development," he said.
