Overchuk says Russia and Moldova have deep ties

The ties between Russia and Moldova are deep and will still show themselves, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk told Izvestia.
"The ties between Russia and Moldova are deep and will still show themselves. Time is needed," he said.
He emphasized that Moldova remains a member of the CIS and an observer state at the Eurasian Economic Union.
"True, Chisinau found some legal clues and stopped considering itself an observer state, although for nothing. The status of observer to the EAEU does not impose obligations, but gives an opportunity to immerse in its internal cuisine and participate in expert discussions, not to mention regular meetings of heads of state and government. If they thought in terms of expanding markets and increasing the incomes of their people at home, such work would be useful to them," the Russian deputy prime minister said.
