Russians named the most attractive features of the opposite sex

46% of Russians are convinced that opposites attract. However, such alliances have both advantages and significant difficulties. In addition, it turned out that men are more often attracted to women with an unusual profession, and girls value openness in a partner. The study showed gender differences in the perception of such relationships. Among men, 49% noted the successful experience of unions with dissimilar partners, while among women, only 23% were satisfied with such experiments.

Analysts have identified the key factors of attraction between different characters. Men are more likely to be attracted to women with an unusual profession (43%), a different temperament (36%), or a communication style (26%). Women value openness and sociability in their partners (47%), the ability to create comfort (35%) and prudence (34%).

Experts have also identified problematic character combinations. According to the respondents, the greatest difficulties arise in "stay–at—home party-loving" couples - 34% of women and 29% of men consider such unions unsuccessful. The relationship between emotional and rational natures is also difficult — 13% of women noted this problem.

Practical difficulties of such relationships include problems with choosing joint leisure activities (21-22%), lack of common topics (18-19%) and the constant need to find compromises.

However, the study also revealed unifying factors. Russians named common life goals as the main binding element (38% of men and 33% of women). Men also value their partner's ability to make concessions (29%), while women value emotional compatibility (18%) and complementarity (17%).

"The secret of attraction is not in the absolute opposite, but in a successful complement. The main thing is the foundation of common values and the willingness to meet each other halfway," the authors of the study noted.

Earlier, on February 28, Irina Kalinina, a lawyer and managing partner of the international legal organization Legal World, gave advice to Russians who wanted to avoid financial disagreements in their families. She explained that there is a concept of personal property that is not subject to division.

Thus, housing that the husband or wife had before marriage is not subject to division; real estate received during marriage as a gift or privatized; property or money inherited during marriage; things that each spouse uses individually. The exceptions are luxury items: jewelry, paintings, and so on.
