Russian rescuers told about the debris removal after the earthquake in Myanmar

Employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations are completing a large-scale operation to dismantle the debris of buildings in Myanmar after the earthquake. Rescuers told Izvestia on April 8 about the progress of the work.
"The buildings are very tightly adjacent to each other. When the building tilted after the earthquake, it turned out that the building was leaning on the building, which created additional difficulties," explained an employee of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Heavy machinery and dog teams are used to sort through the rubble, which use dogs to find the bodies of the dead and survivors of the earthquake.
On April 7, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that Russian rescuers had surveyed 75 buildings in Myanmar covering an area of 121 thousand square meters in search of earthquake-affected people. In addition, since the beginning of the hospital's work, 229 citizens have applied for medical help. The doctors of the Ministry of Emergency Situations performed three complex surgical operations.
The Prime Minister of Myanmar, Min Aung Hlaing, thanked the specialists of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for their help in dealing with the earthquake. It was noted that in the near future it is planned to send three more planes with humanitarian aid to Myanmar with a total weight of about 100 tons.
On March 28, it became known about two earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 6.4 recorded in Myanmar. The epicenter of one of them was located 31 km northwest of the city of Mandalay. 3.6 thousand people died in the natural disaster in the republic, and more than 5 thousand were injured.
