Deepal G318 crossovers will be officially sold in Russia

The mid-size crossover Deepal G318 from the Changan concern will be officially sold in Russia in 2025. The first copies for certification have already been delivered to the country. This was reported by Rossiyskaya Gazeta on April 7.
The Changan Deepal G318 is comparable in size to the new Toyota Land Cruiser 250 SUV. The car is equipped with a serial type hybrid power plant.
In the Chinese market, the basic configuration of the model has an electric motor on the rear axle with a capacity of 252 hp, an internal combustion engine with a volume of 1.5 liters acts as a generator, storing energy in batteries (with a capacity of 19 or 35 kWh). The range on pure electric power is up to 100 and 190 km, depending on the modification. The output of the twin-engine power plant of the all-wheel drive G318 reaches 430 hp.
The claimed ground clearance is 210 mm, there is a "tank turn" function, as well as a "crawling mode" for off—road driving.
On March 13, it was reported that the Deepal brand, which is part of the Changan concern, will appear on the Russian car market. Its first model will be the S07 hybrid crossover. It is expected that sales of the new product in Russia will begin in the first half of 2025.
On January 28, Changan Motors Rus introduced the Avatr brand to the Russian market. Sales of the Avatr 11 electric crossover at a price of 6.95 million rubles started in January.
