The absence of representatives of the European Union (EU) in the process of discussing the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict is natural and inevitable. This was stated on April 7 by Mikhail Ulyanov, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to International Organizations in Vienna, in a Telegram channel.

"European officials are upset that they are not involved in the diplomatic process on Ukraine. But it is absolutely natural and inevitable."

According to the diplomat, the EU representatives did everything possible to make other participants perceive him as a subject who hates the world in Ukraine, which differs from the vision of European officials.

On April 3, Dmitriev met with the special envoy of the President of the United States, Steve Witkoff, in Washington. He became the first representative of the Russian government to visit the United States on an official visit after the start of the special operation in 2022.

The next day, on April 4, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said there was cautious optimism in the United States after Dmitriev's talks. According to him, work is currently underway in various areas within the framework of negotiations with Washington.
