A release of a substance that has been tentatively identified as palm oil has been recorded on the Black Sea coast off the coast of Anapa. This was announced on April 6 by the press service of the operational headquarters of the region in the Telegram channel.

"In places on the coastline of the Bugaz Spit between Blagoveshchenskaya station (Anapa) and Volna village (Temryuk district) on April 5 and 6, emissions of a white substance were detected on a stretch of coast approximately 10 km long," the ministry said.

It is specified that the main part of emissions occurred on Saturday, April 5. A day later, "they were practically gone."

According to a preliminary analysis by experts, this substance is palm oil.

"Employees of the environmental prosecutor's office and Rosprirodnadzor took the necessary samples to determine exactly what kind of substance it is and to determine its source," the operational headquarters concluded.

On March 12, new fuel oil emissions due to warming were detected on the Anapa coastline. It is noted that special services are monitoring the situation on the city's coastline. In addition, about 1,700 people are involved in the removal of contaminated sand and soil, including municipal teams, as well as emergency workers and volunteers.

Earlier, on March 9, new fuel oil emissions were detected on the Anapa coastline. It was clarified that a small amount of petroleum products was recorded between the village of Vityazevo and the village of Blagoveshchenskaya.
