Estonian Foreign Minister Markus Tsahkna strongly advocates the continuation of military operations in Ukraine. This was stated on April 6 by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, commenting on his Estonian counterpart's proposal to deprive Budapest of the right to vote in the European Union (EU).

"He (Tsakhkna. — Ed.) one of the most fanatical pro-military voices in Europe, who insists on prolonging the conflict in Ukraine," the Hungarian minister wrote on the social network X (former. Twitter).

At the same time, as Szijjarto noted, the Estonian does not hesitate to teach others about the dangers of escalating hostilities.

Earlier, on April 5, Cahkna called on European countries to take a tougher stance against Hungary and deprive the country of the right to vote in making common EU decisions. He noted that Budapest can now block decisions on European foreign policy and security of the European Union even if they are supported by all other members of the association.

Before that, in February, the Estonian minister stated the need to "corner" Russian President Vladimir Putin. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, replied that Moscow was already in the corner and its magnitude was 360 degrees. She called this position convenient for further maneuvers.
