A criminal case on the use of slave labor was initiated after checking reports of the illegal imprisonment of two men in the Nyurbinsky district of Yakutia. This was reported on April 6 in the press service of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

"A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of corpus delicti provided for in clauses "a", "d", Part 2, Article 127.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("The use of slave labor of two persons with the use of violence and the threat of its use")," the Telegram channel says.

It was established that violations of the rights to freedom, work, freedom and dignity of the individual were committed against men aged 30 and 51. During their detention, conditions were created for their enslavement.

One of the men was held in conditions of inadequate accommodation. At the same time, he had to carry out work on the maintenance of cattle and in fact could not move freely. The second man, after fulfilling the imposed duties, lived in the employer's house and was able to escape on April 4.

The evidence base is currently being collected and consolidated.

This morning, the SU of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) announced the start of an inspection in the Nyurbinsky district after reports of the illegal imprisonment of two men. The investigators established the circumstances of the incident, as well as conducted interviews and examinations.
