A man who threw explosives at police was detained in Altai

Law enforcement officers detained a resident of Altai, who shot at a fellow villager from a homemade rifle in the village of Bochkari in the Tselinny district and fought off police with homemade bombs. This was reported on April 6 in the press service of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Altai Territory.
It was established that on the evening of April 5, a 45-year-old local resident of the village of Bochkari began shooting at a fellow villager amid personal hostility. Law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene tried to stop the man's actions, but he began to resist and threw improvised explosives at the police.
"The Troitsk interdistrict investigative Department of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Altai Territory has opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Article 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Assault on the life of a law enforcement officer")," the Telegram channel says.
The man was detained. Currently, investigators are examining the scene of the incident, as well as conducting a search of the defendant's home. According to the SU IC of Russia in the Altai Territory, a petition is being prepared for the election of a preventive measure in the form of detention.
