He stressed that the progress of work to eliminate the consequences of the earthquake depends on the receiving Russian rescuers.

Two earthquakes in Myanmar of magnitude 7.7 and 6.4 became known on March 28. The epicenter of one of them was located 31 km northwest of the city of Mandalay. The natural disaster in the republic killed 3,455 people, and another 4,840 were injured. The next day, on March 29, over 100 Russian rescuers arrived in Myanmar to provide assistance. So, in Mandalay, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, together with colleagues from China, pulled a woman who had been lying there for more than two days out of the rubble.
