A man, intoxicated, opened fire on police officers in an underground parking lot in Moscow. As reported on April 5 by the General Directorate of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in the capital, a criminal case was opened on the incident of an attempt on the life of a law enforcement officer (art. 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

It is noted that on April 4, the driver in the parking lot, driving a car, refused to comply with the legal requirements of traffic police inspectors and tried to escape.

"The suspect drove into the territory of the underground parking, where he opened fire towards law enforcement officers. In turn, the policeman, seeing a real threat to life and health, used his service weapon," the department's Telegram channel says.

The suspect was taken to one of the city hospitals. After the doctors' permission, the investigators will be able to begin questioning him.

On the same day, it was reported that a criminal case had been opened in Dagestan after a shootout in the underground parking lot of the Ardar shopping center, during which one person was killed and two injured. According to the investigation, a conflict arose between the owner of the shopping center and the tenants over money. The criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Article 30, paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 105 ("Attempted murder of two or more persons"), part 1 of Article 105 ("Murder") and part 1 of Article 222 ("Illegal acquisition, storage, carrying of weapons") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
