In Minusinsk, a forest area caught fire near two residential districts

A forest area caught fire in the city of Minusinsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory. This was announced on April 5 by the city administration.
It is specified that forest areas adjacent to the residential districts of Vostochny and South-Vostochny are on fire. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the forest fire center, volunteers and employees of the city administration are involved in extinguishing the fire.
"All forces and means are involved and aimed at its elimination. We ask residents of the residential districts to observe maximum security measures!" the administration said in a Telegram message.
The mayor of Minusinsk, Dmitry Merkulov, on his page on the VKontakte social network, said that residents of the city of Minusinsk should be prepared for possible evacuation due to forest fires. He added that preparations are underway to evacuate residents of households in the Eastern and Southeastern neighborhoods.
According to the mayor, all efforts and resources will be directed to the early elimination of the consequences of the fires. In addition to specialized specialists, volunteers and employees of various city institutions are involved in the events.
Merkulov also pointed out that the evacuation center is already fully ready to receive residents.
On April 3, it was reported that in Transbaikalia, near the village of Ilyinka, a large forest fire could not be extinguished for more than three days. One of the reasons is the inaccessibility of the ignition site. Only high-speed vehicles can drive to the fire site. The soil burns to a depth of 0.5 m. As of April 4, the fire area increased to two thousand hectares. The fire started on the morning of March 31. The initial fire area was 50 hectares.
