The motorist received four years in prison for an accident with a dead child in Moscow.

A Moscow court has sentenced a 20-year-old carsharing driver who hit two children at a pedestrian crossing to four years in prison. This was announced on April 4 by the press service of the prosecutor's office of the capital in the Telegram channel.

"A carsharing driver who knocked down two children at a pedestrian crossing was sentenced to four years in prison in a general regime colony," the report says.

The department clarified that the driver was also banned from engaging in activities related to the Department of Transport for two years and six months. He fully admitted his guilt in court.

The accident occurred on September 16 at a controlled pedestrian crossing. As a result, a 13-year-old boy died on the spot, and a 12-year-old girl was hospitalized in serious condition.
