Russia and the United States have made significant progress over the past two days. This was announced on Thursday, April 3, by Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries.

"I would say that today and yesterday we made three steps forward on a large number of issues," he said at a press conference.

At the same time, Dmitriev added that due to the lack of dialogue between the countries for several years, many questions have accumulated. But the team of US President Donald Trump "hears" Russia.

"Of course, there are disagreements on various points, but there is a process and there is a dialogue that, in our understanding, will help overcome these differences," concluded the special representative of the President of Russia.

On April 3, Dmitriev met with the special envoy of the President of the United States, Steve Witkoff, in Washington. He became the first representative of the Russian government to visit the United States on an official visit after the start of the special operation in 2022. After the meeting, an official on the social network X called the dialogue between the two countries important. The CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund attached to the publication a picture showing a plane heading towards Washington.
