The Prosecutor's Office of Karelia organized an inspection in connection with the fire at the Onega Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant in Petrozavodsk. This was reported on April 3 in the Telegram channel of the department.
"The supervisory authority controls the establishment of all the circumstances and causes of the incident. In addition, the prosecutor's office will assess the completeness of the measures taken to ensure fire and industrial safety," the report says.
The staff of the Prosecutor's Office coordinates the actions of law enforcement agencies and emergency services.
The fire at the Onega Shipbuilding and Ship Repair plant on an area of 1.5 thousand square meters in Karelia occurred on the same day. Later it was liquidated, and the shedding of structures began. As a result of the incident, three people were injured.
The Ministry of Health of the region reported that the victims of the fire are in intensive care in serious condition. The V.A. Baranov Republican Hospital has been transferred to an enhanced and increased alert mode for prevention purposes.
