Trump announced "good cooperation" between Russia and Ukraine with the United States

US President Donald Trump noted the success of cooperation with Russia and Ukraine on the issue of conflict resolution. The head of state made the corresponding statement on March 2.

"I think we're seeing good cooperation from Russia and Ukraine, but we have to stop it. This is a matter of humanity. It's a terrible thing," he said.

The politician also stressed the scale of human losses in this conflict and said that under his presidency this "would never have happened."

"This should not be allowed to continue," Trump said.

The parties will continue to discuss the full—fledged work of the diplomatic missions, but negotiations on the Black Sea Initiative are on hold.

On April 1, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed his readiness to conclude an unconditional ceasefire with Russia. He also said that the US representatives promised to "negotiate with the Russian side" on the cessation of strikes on energy infrastructure, as well as a cease-fire in the Black Sea.
