The Swiss government reacted to Trump's decision on duties

Switzerland has taken note of US President Donald Trump's decision to impose duties on imports of Swiss goods. This was announced on Wednesday, April 2, by the country's president Karin Keller-Zutter.
"The Federal Council takes note of the decisions of the United States on duties. He will quickly determine how to proceed," she wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
The Head of State stressed that Switzerland's long-term economic interests are a priority. At the same time, loyalty to international law and free trade remain the main values, Keller-Zutter noted.
Earlier in the day, Trump announced that the United States would impose duties of 31% on goods from Switzerland.
