The head of the Polish Arms Group (PGZ), Krzysztof Trowiniak, resigned after a conflict with the authorities of the Ministry of Defense due to the fact that he could not cope with the production of ammunition. This was announced on Wednesday, April 2, by RMF FM radio station, citing sources.

"Trofinyak left due to a conflict with the authorities of the Ministry of National Defense. This mainly concerned the slow production of 155 mm ammunition, that is, the largest caliber used by heavy artillery, which is crucial on the battlefield," the publication says.

At the same time, it is clarified that the department has long drawn attention to how slowly and in what small quantities ammunition is produced. According to the newspaper, the production of shells of this caliber at the enterprise amounted to only 50 thousand units per year.

"For comparison, in Ukraine, about a million are spent in the war zone every month," the radio station noted.

As indicated, the decision to resign was made a long time ago.

Earlier, on March 26, the head of the Polish National Security Bureau, Dariusz Lukowski, said that Poland has a stockpile of ammunition for one to two weeks of possible hostilities. He noted that some ammunition may be enough for only five to seven days of fighting.
