Interpol refused BiH law enforcement officers to detain RS leaders Dodik and Stevandic

The Interpol secretariat did not satisfy the request of the law enforcement authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) for the arrest of the President of the Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik and the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic Nenad Stevandic. This was announced on March 2 by Dodik himself on the social network X (ex. Twitter)

"Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic called me and informed me that he had received information from the Interpol Secretariat about the refusal to satisfy the request of the unconstitutional Court of BiH to issue an international arrest warrant for Stevandic and me," the head of Republika Srpska said.

He also expressed gratitude to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and other world leaders who have sent complaints to Interpol about the political motivation of the arrest request.

On the same day, Vucic called for a compromise solution to the situation in BiH. According to him, attempts are being made to "shift the blame to the Serbian side," as has been actively practiced since the 1990s. The Serbian leader noted that his priority is the rapid economic growth of the state, "and this is the most important thing."

On April 2, the Serbian parliament was told about the threat of the collapse of Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to the head of the Serbian Parliament's Committee on Diaspora and Serbs in the region, Dragan Stanojevic, the arrest warrant for Dodik starts, in fact, the process of the collapse of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Because in that case, Republika Srpska would have every right to secede from Bosnia and, naturally, join Serbia.
