- The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation announced the risk of new collapses in some areas of Myanmar.

In some areas of Myanmar, amid the effects of the earthquake, there is a risk of new building collapses, which complicates the rescue operation. This was announced on April 1 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
"Rescuers are working in difficult and dangerous conditions: damaged and unstable structures pose a threat of collapse," the agency's Telegram channel says.
At the moment, five of the most difficult areas in the residential sector have been identified, where survivors may be under the rubble. It is noted that the search for missing residents is carried out in small groups.
Russian specialists are working with local rescue services and representatives of Myanmar authorities.
On March 28, two earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 6.4 were recorded in the Asian republic. The epicenter of one of them was located 31 km northwest of the city of Mandalay. The death toll from the disaster totals more than 2 thousand people.
More than 100 Russian rescuers have arrived in Myanmar to provide assistance to the affected population. So, in the city of Mandalay, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, together with colleagues from China, pulled a woman who had been lying there for more than two days out of the rubble.
