The Russian Embassy has not received data on Russians killed in the earthquake in Myanmar.

There were no reports of Russians killed or injured in the earthquake in Myanmar. This was reported to Izvestia on March 31 at the Russian Embassy.

"There is no information about Russian citizens who died or were injured as a result of the earthquake," they said.

It is noted that the Russian Federation plans to send an additional group of rescuers and humanitarian aid to Myanmar.

"According to the planned plans, the Russian Emergencies Ministry group will double tomorrow morning to about 200 people. Preparations are underway to receive two more aircraft of the Ministry of Emergency Situations with humanitarian cargo and specialists," the diplomatic mission stressed.

They also clarified that official data on the extent of economic damage to the country is not yet available. The authorities are assessing the effects of the earthquake.

On March 28, two earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 6.4 were recorded in Myanmar. The epicenter of one of them was located 31 km northwest of the city of Mandalay. As of March 30, the death toll in Myanmar reached 1.7 thousand people, more than 3.4 thousand were injured, and 300 are missing.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation reported on March 29 that more than 100 Russian rescuers arrived in Myanmar to provide medical assistance to the affected population. On March 31, Russian rescuers together with colleagues from China pulled a woman who had been lying there for more than two days out of the rubble in Mandalay.
