Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan have signed an agreement on the state border

The Presidents of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, Emomali Rahmon, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Sadyr Japarov signed an agreement on the state border. This was reported by Sputnik Tajikistan on March 31.
It is noted that the solemn meeting took place in Tajikistan in the city of Khujand, where the countries agreed on the "junction point" of the borders of the three territories. At the same time, the document establishes the legal aspects of interaction and regulation of issues related to the border zone in order to strengthen cooperation between the zones.
The leaders of the republics also signed the Khujand Declaration of Eternal Friendship. Festive events will be held in Khujand in honor of the event, which will be attended by government delegations of the countries. In addition, a monument with the name "Friendship Complex" will be erected on the border, symbolizing the friendship of peoples.
Earlier, on March 25, Japarov signed the law on the state border with Tajikistan, which was adopted by the Parliament of the republic. It was clarified that the creation of contractual and regulatory frameworks between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan along the state border is aimed at ensuring stability and security, creating favorable conditions for citizens of both states.
Before that, on March 13, Japarov and Rahmon signed an agreement on the border line between the countries. It was about the checkpoints "Kairagach" and "Kyzyl-Bel". The border has been closed since 2021.
