Izvestia News Center launches virtual interactive museum "The Great Victory"

On March 31, the Izvestia Multimedia Information Center (MIC) launched the Great Victory virtual interactive Museum dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII). The unique platform was created using modern visualization technologies.
The museum includes seven thematic halls: "Heroes of Victory", "Living History", "Weapons of Victory", "Victorious Battles", "Everything for Victory", "Military Leaders" and "Victory in the lens of Izvestia".
The museum's single modern space contains unique archival materials, 3D models of weapons and equipment, interactive maps, animated photographs of military personnel and interviews with living veterans, as well as other invaluable evidence of great history.
The interactive exposition of the Great Victory gives users the opportunity to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of that time. For example, in the Weapons of Victory hall, all military equipment is presented in the form of 3D models. Airplanes, tanks, self—propelled artillery installations, small arms - the visitor can examine each exhibit in detail in 360 format.
On the Victorious Battles museum page, users will see interactive maps illustrating important battles. In addition, in the game format, you can study in detail important details of historical battles: how the troops marched, where the battles took place, and what tactics our soldiers used.
The hall of the virtual museum "Victory in the lens of Izvestia" creates a unique opportunity to see the war through the eyes of photojournalists. Archival footage animated by artificial intelligence will tell about heroism, hard everyday life and rare moments of peace at the front. By clicking on any frame, you can feel the atmosphere of that time.
The exhibition will be replenished after its launch. Previously, the virtual museum expanded its geography, and some of its exhibitions can already be seen in different parts of our country at the largest media facades.
You can get acquainted with the unique museum by following the link.
Earlier, on February 19, the Izvestia News Center, together with the MAER media holding, launched a special project dedicated to the Great Victory Day. The media facades will feature photographs of today's veterans and quotes from their stories, as well as 3D models of the legendary Victory weapon, symbolizing the might and strength of the Soviet Army. The promotion will last until May 11, 2025.
