- Szijjarto called the attacks on Hungary's infrastructure an attack on the country's sovereignty.

The Hungarian authorities consider attacks on energy infrastructure as an encroachment on their sovereignty. This was announced on March 30 by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto.
"Energy security is a matter of sovereignty, and we consider any attack on our energy infrastructure to be an attack on our sovereignty," he told RIA Novosti.
Szijjarto noted that in recent months, attacks by the Ukrainian side on the Druzhba oil pipeline have become a serious problem. According to him, this led to disruptions in oil supplies, which sometimes lasted for days.
Szijjarto said on March 11 that oil supplies from Russia to Hungary via Druzhba were suspended due to an attack by a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the measuring station of the pipeline. The foreign minister stressed that Budapest regards Kiev's attack on the infrastructure critical for Hungarian energy supply as an attack on its sovereignty. Fuel supplies resumed on the same day after the damage was repaired.
