The process of repatriating the bodies of Russians who died in the Sinbad bathyscaphe crash off the coast of the Hurghada resort in Egypt has begun. This was announced on March 29 at the Russian Consulate General in Hurghada.

"The repatriation process has begun. We have issued the documents," the Consulate General told RIA Novosti.

The process will take some time in accordance with the procedures, the Russian diplomatic mission added. It is noted that insurance companies bear the costs of repatriating the bodies.

The crash of a bathyscaphe with Russians on board off the coast of Hurghada became known on March 27. There were 45 Russian citizens on the ship. Six Russians were killed, including two children. The company Sharm Hurghada Excursions, which organized the tour, told Izvestia that the bathyscaphe had been in operation for about 10 years.

On March 28, it was reported that two Russian women, including one child, were in hospital after the crash of a bathyscaphe. A little girl is connected to a ventilator. Russian doctors are in touch with the girl's doctor. Previously, after her condition has stabilized, she may be transported to Moscow for treatment.
