A man with human remains in a grocery cart was detained in St. Petersburg.


In St. Petersburg, a 77-year-old man was detained with a grocery cart containing fragments of a human body. This was reported on March 29 in the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region.
The Investigative Department for the Central District opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder").
According to a source in Izvestia, the murdered woman, born in 1961, is the owner of the apartment where the murder took place.
Investigators and criminologists are working at the scene. According to the agency, the apartment where the detainee lived is located in the same entrance. Human body parts were also found in it.
"Based on the results of the examination, a complex of forensic examinations, including medical ones, will be appointed to determine the cause of death of the victim," the Telegram channel of the regional Investigative Committee says.
Earlier, on March 1, a criminal case was opened in St. Petersburg over the discovery of human remains in suitcases. A criminal case has been opened under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder").
