After the earthquake in Myanmar, 77 aftershocks were recorded. This was announced on March 29 by the Meteorological Department of Thailand.

"Reports of repeated tremors as a result of earthquakes in Myanmar have been received 77 times," the agency said in a Facebook post (owned by Meta, a company whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

It is specified that the tremors were of low intensity and were practically not felt in many areas of Thailand.

Earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 6.4 were recorded in Myanmar, neighboring Thailand, earlier in the day, and subsequently fluctuations reached Bangkok and its environs. A state of emergency has been declared in the capital of the country. Later it was reported that the death toll in Myanmar rose to 144, while 10 people died in Bangkok. Work continues at the site of the collapse.

The Russian Embassy in Thailand said it had not received any information about the injured Russian citizens. The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations has sent two planes with rescuers to Myanmar. Izvestia correspondent Alexander Morozov showed the personnel training specialists before departure.
