The Russian Embassy in Thailand announced on March 28 that it had not received information about Russian citizens affected by the earthquake.
"So far, no such information has been received," TASS quoted the Russian Embassy in Thailand as saying.

Earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 6.4 were recorded in Myanmar, neighboring Thailand, earlier in the day, and subsequently fluctuations reached Bangkok and its environs. Thai Prime Minister Phethong Thang Shinawatra has declared a state of emergency in the country's capital. The metro is not working in the city, there are interruptions in communication.
As a result of the earthquake, three people died, 81 more were missing. Those who died at the time of the incident were on the territory of the State control Administration building under construction.
