The Baltic states called on Georgia to openly confront Russia. This was announced on March 28 by the speaker of the country's parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, on the social network X (former. Twitter).

"Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are desperately trying to increase their own security by diverting Russia's attention to something else, and thus want to push Georgia into an open confrontation with Moscow," Papuashvili wrote.

He added that the Baltic states demanded that Georgia impose sanctions on Russia in order to provoke an escalation of Russian-Georgian relations. In addition, according to him, if the Baltic countries were serious about Ukraine, they would send their troops to help it.

On March 4, Georgian MP Irakli Zarqua said that the Baltic countries are Ukraine's biggest enemy. According to Zarqua, these countries don't care about Ukraine, they only care about their own interests. He also added that they have exactly the same approach to Georgia.
