"Wage growth will continue, but it will not be as intense as in 2024," the expert noted. This opinion was shared by Georgy Ostapkovich, Director of the Center for Economic Studies at the Higher School of Economics, in an interview with Izvestia on March 27.

According to him, in 2023-2024, an increase in citizens' incomes was provided through a budget incentive.

In addition, the budget was accompanied by an increase not only in salaries, but also in real disposable income. The salary in income is approximately 60%.

However, further salary growth may face restrictions, since salaries are costs for the company. It is impossible to raise wages without increasing labor productivity. This always leads to bankruptcy of enterprises.

Another factor affecting the dynamics of wages remains the shortage of personnel.

"Salary growth in 2025 may amount to about 8-10%. We will see growth, but it will not be as intense as in 2024," Ostapkovich summed up.

Earlier, on March 6, it was reported that for the majority of Russians surveyed (75%), job satisfaction is a key indicator of a successful career. This is stated in the results of the study of the service "Work.ru". In addition, high earnings (71%) and professionalism (64%) are considered important.
