In Balashikha, Moscow region, a four-year-old child died as a result of a bus collision. This was announced on March 26 by the Prosecutor's office of the Moscow region.
"According to preliminary data, today at about 6 p.m. on Sverdlov Street in Balashikha, a bus hit a four-year-old child crossing the road accompanied by his mother at an unregulated pedestrian crossing. As a result of his injuries, the boy died in an ambulance," the department said in a Telegram channel message.
It is noted that the prosecutor's office controls the establishment of all circumstances of the accident.
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Moscow Region reported on the Telegram channel that police officers had opened a criminal case against a driver born in 1963 who ran over a child under Part 3 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles that negligently caused the death of a person").
On March 24, the Chelyabinsk State Traffic Inspectorate reported that a UAZ Patriot car at the intersection of Krasnopolsky Prospekt and Beivel Street in the city hit a woman and a child who were crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing at a traffic light. It was clarified that a woman and an eight-year-old child were taken to the hospital.
