- In Britain, the return of Russian national teams and clubs to world tournaments was allowed

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has launched the process of returning Russian national teams and clubs to international tournaments. This was reported by the Independent on March 26.
"Steps are currently being taken to bring Russia back to football," a senior source told the newspaper.
In addition, there are high-ranking football figures who would return Russian teams "tomorrow." Some believe that Russia should not have been suspended at all, the article says.
The UEFA Congress will be held next week in Belgrade.
Russian clubs and national football teams have been banned from participating in international tournaments under the auspices of the International Football Federation (FIFA) and UEFA since February 2022.
Earlier, on February 8, the president of the Russian Football Union (RFU), Alexander Dyukov, said that he believes in the return of the Russian national teams to international tournaments in his new term in office.
On February 5, Maxim Mitrofanov, Secretary General of the RFU Ethics Committee, said that some members of UEFA and the International Football Federation (FIFA) might have changed their rhetoric regarding the return of Russians to international competitions. He expressed the hope that the increased work will lead to the return of the Russian national team in 2025.
