The Ministry of Education has published a memo on countering bullying in schools.


The Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation has developed a memo on countering physical and mental violence and bullying in schools. The document was published on March 26 in the Telegram channel of the department.
"The new memo will help not only to respond promptly to cases, but also to prevent them, relying on legal instruments, and carry out explanatory work. These materials are part of the comprehensive work on the development of the prevention system," said Sergey Kravtsov, Minister of Education of Russia.
The document lists the types of illegal behavior that are a manifestation of harassment. It also specifies measures of disciplinary, administrative, criminal or civil liability, which may involve violators, including minors.
The ministry stressed that in the near future these materials will be sent to schools, colleges and additional education organizations in all regions of Russia. Educational and consulting events are also organized there.
Earlier, on February 16, it became known about the intentions of the Ministry of Education to develop legislative initiatives to curb bullying in schools. The ministry clarified that they will include effective assistance and support mechanisms.
