Happy Eid al-Fitr Muslim holiday: beautiful greeting cards and greetings

At the end of March, the holy month of Ramadan ends for Muslims, which accounts for the longest and strictest fast. Its end is marked by the great holiday of Eid al-Adha, also known as the feast of thanksgiving. In 2025, it will come on the night of March 31. Especially for the celebration, Izvestia has prepared beautiful postcards and greetings that can be shared on the festive night.
Happy Eid al-Adha: beautiful postcards
Eid al—Adha is one of the most ancient Muslim holidays. According to legend, it was established by the Prophet Muhammad himself. Later, it spread all over the world along with the Muslim religion. In the Arab tradition, it is known as Eid al-Fitr, literally the feast of the cessation of fasting.
It is celebrated annually in many Arab countries, Southeast Asia, Africa and in Russia, where more than 15 million adherents of Islam live. In particular, in Adygea, Bashkiria, Dagestan, Ingushetia, Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Tatarstan, Chechnya and the Republic of Crimea.
The date of the holiday depends on the lunar calendar and changes every year. Last year, Eid al-Adha was celebrated on April 9th. This year, the celebrations will be held 10 days earlier — on the last day of March.
And often the celebrations last more than one day. In a number of Muslim countries where a day off is declared at this time, they can last up to three days.
Traditionally, on Eid al-Adha, devout Muslims visit the mosque and give alms (zakat al-fitr), as bequeathed by the Prophet. Donations are given to the poor directly or through charities.
On the eve of the celebration, ablution is obligatory, the house is cleaned, clean elegant clothes are prepared, and some interior items are also updated.
After a long prayer, when it was forbidden to eat or even drink water from dawn to dusk, lavish feasts with a wide variety of dishes are held everywhere. Pilaf, dolma, roast lamb, baklava, nuts and selected fruits are served on the table.
Also during Eid al-Adha, believers congratulate friends and family by sending them postcards with warm wishes. Usually, greeting cards contain Muslim religious symbols, images of mosques and dishes of national cuisine, which are served on the table during the holiday.
Happy Eid al-Adha: congratulations in your own words
When meeting and congratulating Muslims, they greet each other with the words "Eid Mubarak!", which translates as "Blessed holiday!". In addition, they wish you well-being, health, strong faith, good thoughts and good deeds.
Here are some examples of how to congratulate on the holiday of speaking in prose in your own words:
"Congratulations on the completion of the holy month of Ramadan and the Eid al-Adha holiday! I wish you spiritual harmony, bright thoughts and new hopes. May there be peace and prosperity in your home, and may Allah hear all your prayers!"
"Happy Eid! I sincerely congratulate you on this bright day. I sincerely wish you good health, success in all your endeavors, and the grace of the Almighty. May your life be as varied and generous as the dishes on the festive table."
"Congratulations to all Muslims on the good holiday of Eid al-Adha! I wish that an atmosphere of happiness and goodness always reigns in your home, so that you do not know sorrows and sorrows, and your heart welcomes every new day with joy."
