Vilfand predicted a place in the top five warmest in history for 2025

The year 2025 may enter the top five warmest in the history of observation. This was announced on Sunday, March 23, by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand.
"This is due to the fact that recent years have been getting warmer under the influence of an increase in greenhouse gas concentrations. Unfortunately, it has not yet been possible to stabilize this process," he said in an interview with TASS.
Separately, Wilfand mentioned that the state of the atmosphere is strongly influenced by the temperature of the ocean, since the heat transferred from the oceans contributes to an increase in air temperature.
Roman Vilfand, head of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, announced on March 5 that the air temperature in the spring of 2025 in Russia will be within or slightly below normal. He also noted that last winter in the country was the second warmest in the history of observations.
