Unknown assailants attacked the Iranian Consulate in Istanbul


In the Turkish capital, unidentified persons carried out an armed attack on the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the country. This was reported by Cumhuriyet newspaper on March 21.
"According to police, no one was injured in the attack, and police officers were advised to strengthen security measures and wear body armor," the newspaper said.
At the moment, it has been established that the attack was carried out using long-barreled weapons.
On February 24, an explosion occurred in Marseille near the Consulate General of the Russian Federation. It was clarified that unknown persons threw three explosive bottles into the territory of the diplomatic mission, two of them exploded. The Russian Embassy in France reported that no one was injured in the explosion.
