Venezuela has accepted 311 of its migrants from Mexico

Venezuela has received from Mexico a group of 311 fellow migrants who returned to the country as part of the government's "Homecoming" plan. This was reported by La Jornada on Thursday, March 20.
This is the fourth flight that arrived in the Republic in the first quarter of 2025. During this time, more than 900 repatriates have arrived in the country as part of the program.
President Nicolas Maduro and other representatives of the Venezuelan authorities say they will do everything possible to return migrants from all over the world, including 238 Venezuelans deported by the United States to El Salvador.
In February, the media reported that the administration of US President Donald Trump was taking measures to lift protection from deportation for 348,000 Venezuelans.
During his term, former US President Joe Biden significantly expanded the temporary protection program, which currently covers more than 1 million people from 17 countries. Some of them have been in the United States for decades, and now they may face immediate deportation if they lose their status.
