Turkish actor Jan Yaman has expressed his desire to read Russian literature in the original language.

The star of the Turkish TV series "Early Bird" and "Mr. Mistake" Jan Yaman expressed hope that one day he will be able to learn Russian in order to read the works of our writers in the original. The actor told reporters about this during a press conference in Moscow on March 19.

"I know that there is great literature in Russia, great books. I hope that someday I will be able to read Russian literature in the original, because it is unique," said Jan Yaman.

The actor flew to Russia to present his new project, the historical blockbuster "El Turco". The series is set in the 17th century. After the defeat of the Turks in the Battle of Vienna, his hero, Janissary Hassan Balaban, is captured, but he manages to escape shortly before the planned execution. As a result, Balaban finds himself in the village of Moena, located in the Italian Alps. There he meets a girl named Gloria, who offers him shelter and helps him recover from a serious injury.

"Filming El Turco was not easy, because when we started, it was August, and then it gradually got colder, and in some scenes I was half naked, I had to freeze. Now I've arrived in Russia and I'm freezing again (laughs). But I see that the people here love me very much! I didn't know there would be such a meeting," Jan Yaman said.

The secular premiere of the project took place in the cinema "October". Fans of the celebrity came to this occasion from different cities of Russia.
