Fans from different cities came to Moscow to meet their idol, turdizi star Jan Yaman. The actor, known to viewers for the TV series "Early Bird" and "Mr. Mistake," flew to Russia to present his new project, the historical blockbuster "El Turco." He played the main role there — janissary Balaban, who escaped from execution and ended up in the Italian village of Moena. About how the premiere went and why Jan Yaman wants to learn Russian is in the Izvestia article.
"I can see that the people here love me very much!"
Jan Yaman, "Mr. Mistake" and the star of "Early Bird", learned about Russian hospitality as soon as he stepped off the plane. The actor arrived in Moscow on the night of Tuesday, March 18. Despite the lateness of the time, many fans gathered at the airport. They were greeted in the best traditions — with bread and salt. He, probably tired of the flight, did not show any signs and took a selfie with everyone. During his several days in the Russian capital, he practiced this often. Fans of Turkish TV series, having learned that the idol was staying at The Carlton Moscow, set up a watch at the entrance. It was a success for them.
— It's like I'm in a dream! He's very attentive to his fans. He tries to make time for everyone. I didn't offend anyone, I took photos with everyone, I signed autographs! Yulia, who came from Kazan specifically, shared her impressions with Izvestia.
Fans flocked from different cities of the country to meet the idol. They put up posters at the entrance to the hotel, brought flags with his image and gifts.
— We love Jan very much! Thank you for coming," said a pensioner from Belgorod, hugging a member of the actor's team.
—I don't speak,— he replied with a smile, nevertheless returning the hug.
Another fan, Natalia, came from Omsk.
— I came to my idol, who inspires me, and I really like his work. This is an actor who knows how to act and speak with his eyes. Jan Yaman is both interesting and good as a person. He has a very big kind heart. He does charity work," she told Izvestia.
The artist himself was surprised by such attention and such a warm welcome. He told reporters about this during a press conference before the secular premiere of the series "El Turco" at the cinema "October" on March 19, for which he came to Russia.
— Filming "El Turco" was not easy, because when we started, it was August, and then it gradually got colder, and in some scenes I was half naked, I had to freeze. Now I've arrived in Russia and I'm freezing again (laughs). But I can see that the people here love me very much! I didn't know there would be such a meeting," Jan Yaman said.
The actor also had special feelings for Russia and admitted that it would be interesting for him to work with a Russian actress one day. Besides, he hopes to learn our language.
— I know that there is excellent literature and excellent books in Russia. I hope that someday I will be able to read Russian literature in the original, because it is unique," said Jan Yaman.
The actor was also impressed by the local cuisine. He even promised to come back for Shrovetide.
— I really enjoyed today's brunch. The food is great! But the pitch was such that we were told about the dishes for 30 minutes," the actor joked. — At some point we had to stop the waiter because we were very hungry. What we ate today was supposed to be my diet when we were filming El Turco. I weighed 102 kg then, and now I weigh 94 kg. This food would help me gain weight.
Jan Yaman at the premiere of "El Turco" in Moscow
Jan Yaman is already the owner of a steel press. And for the project, he needed to become even stronger. In "El Turco," which will have its Russian premiere at the Ivy online cinema on March 21, the actor plays the role of the courageous and strong janissary Hassan Balaban. The action takes place in the 17th century. After the defeat of the Turks in the Battle of Vienna, his hero is captured, but he manages to escape shortly before the planned execution.
As a result, Balaban finds himself in the village of Moena, located in the Italian Alps. There he meets a girl named Gloria, who offers him shelter and helps him recover from a serious injury.
— I had to train a lot in the gym because I have to be in good physical shape. But I also had a trainer who taught me how to ride horses. I can ride, but I was told to forget everything I know, and the man taught me as if from scratch. I had eight hours of training, he told me about horses, took me to the stables. I should have seen what they were eating, cleaned up their manure, including (laughs). And that's not all. From an emotional point of view, I also had to prepare. The hero loses a lot of friends he loved," said Jan Yaman.
The production of the "El Turco" project was handled by the Ay Yapım film company, which gave the world one of the main hits of turdizi — the series "Black Love" with Burak Ozcivit.
"I often visit Moscow," Kerem Chatai, the owner of the Ay Yapim film company, confessed. — The last time I was here was last August at the Moscow Film Week. The weather was better then, though, and I liked it better because it was warmer (laughs).
The company's new project is international. The main female role was played by the Italian actress Greta Ferro, known for the comedy "Made in Italy".
Ksenia Borodina, the most famous fan of Turkish TV series among Russian stars, appeared at the secular premiere of "El Turco" in the capital's October, despite the fact that she had a plane a little later. Among the guests were also TV presenter and musician Anton Lavrentiev, singer Anastasia Krainova, blogger Masha and again numerous fans of Jan Yaman, who met him, starting from the street at the red carpet there.
Later, from the stage, the guest of the capital, accompanied by the scriptwriter of the series and the owner of the film company Ay Yapim, thanked the audience for their love and admitted that for the first time he would watch his own project with the audience in the hall.
